Fabrizio Ravanelli suggest Tottenham can win Premier League but admits every position needs adding to

Fabrizio Ravenelli is a cult hero for Middlesbrough fans, whilst he is a favourite for many Premier League fans who managed to witness what he had managed to do on an English football field in the 90s.

Admittedly, he only spent one year at The Riverside Stadium, whilst he spent time abroad before making a return to the English top-flight for Derby County.

Nonetheless, it seems he has been keeping tabs on the Premier League and has decided he is in a position to make a rather outlandish claim. In fact, the statement that he has made is perhaps as outlandish as some of the wins that can be obtained when playing the exceptional games that are available at admiralcasinologin.com for gamers.

The Italian has revealed he believes Tottenham Hotspur could have a chance of winning the title under Antonio Conte next season.

Speaking to The Sun, he said: “I believe he has been doing very well at Tottenham but when a coach, especially Conte, gets to a team, he needs time. I’m pretty sure he can make tremendous progress and achieve exactly what he has in mind.

“Tottenham has always been missing something – they never really manage to take that necessary step forward in quality. They have had a good mentality but it’s not been effective in getting the results they want.

“Now with Conte and Fabio Paratici, they will be able to make the right choices to give them the right identity to win. They will be able to then possibly win the Premier League in this way. Next year will be the turning point.”

Spurs currently sit fifth and are battling it out for a place in the UEFA Champions League next season, therefore it would have to be considered a rather bold claim by Ravanelli, although with Conte at the helm, then we would guess anything is possible, especially after what he managed to do with Chelsea in his first spell in England.

However, the former Italy international did appear to concede that there would be a lot of work that needed to be done, with the squad needing to be upgraded in regard to its quality, with almost every single position on the pitch having been identified.

He added: “This year they have less chance than Arsenal [to get top four] but knowing Conte, in these moments, he always wins duels. He is so focused and so determined and I’m pretty sure they will finish fourth and get into the Champions League.

“As for winning the Premier League next year, they will have to fight hard. We cannot forget Manchester City and Liverpool. Tottenham have got seven or eight excellent players.

“They need to focus on the defence because that is their main weakness. They would also need to strengthen the midfield with new signings and sign a new striker to play alongside Harry Kane.

“Kane is the best but he is not enough so they will need to strengthen there next season. It won’t be easy.”

Whether anyone else has the same level of confidence in Tottenham as Ravanelli is debatable, especially as the club is known for being ‘Spursy’, whilst there would seem to be some questions about Conte’s future as it is being reported that he could be in the dugout at the Parc des Princes in the summer.

Paris Saint-Germain are thought to be interested in luring the Italian boss to the French capital, where he would replace former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino if the Argentine were to be let go.
